Experienced Service Technician / Installer ($25.00–$40.00/hr)
Pay: $25.00–$40.00/hr
We are looking for an experienced and mechanically skilled Service Technician / Installer to join our team. We specialize in servicing and installing paint spray booths, liquid and powder coating equipment, and related industrial equipment.
This position offers a mix of shop and field service work, providing variety and opportunities to develop specialized technical skills.
Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting, servicing, and repairing tinting machines and shakers.
- Troubleshooting and repairing spray equipment.
- Installing, assembling, and servicing paint booths and related systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and stack cleaning.
- Read and interpret basic schematics, service manuals, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Complete accurate service reports and documentation, including work completed, parts used, service details, and time tracking.
- Provide professional, courteous customer service while representing the company.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment in both the shop and the field.
- Travel for out-of-town service and installation work as required.
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical industrial equipment.
- Ability to read basic schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
- Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable, punctual, organized, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work safely with ladders, lifts, tools, and industrial equipment.
- Forklift certification, fall arrest training, and manlift certification are considered assets.
- Experience with electrical controls, motors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, HVAC systems, or refrigeration is considered an asset but not required.
