Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Delivery Driver responsible for transporting packages efficiently and safely to various locations across PEI. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with packages handling, and experience operating Cargo Van. This role requires excellent time management, customer service skills, and the ability to navigate routes effectively. The Delivery Driver plays a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety standards and vehicle integrity.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to deliver packages to designated locations.
- Scan and Load parcels as needed, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify any mechanical issues or safety concerns.
- Maintain accurate delivery schedules.
- Communicate effectively with Supervisors and customers regarding delivery times or any issues encountered during routes.
- Assist with minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary to ensure vehicle readiness.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries.
Experience
- Prior experience in Courier Delivery is preferred.
- Knowledge of operation of Cargo vans is advantageous.
- Experience in automotive repair or basic vehicle maintenance is a plus.
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during route planning and deliveries.
Pay: $800.00-$1,200.00 per week
