Job Summary
Gee Insurance and Investment Group is seeking a motivated and client-focused Commercial Insurance Advisor to join our growing team in Calgary.
As a direct writer, we provide clients with tailored insurance solutions backed by strong relationships, expert advice, and exceptional service. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in personal lines insurance and be ready to apply their knowledge and client service skills in a commercial insurance environment.
What You’ll Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with commercial insurance clients.
- Identify client needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions to protect businesses and their owners.
- Prepare new business quotes, policy reviews, renewals, endorsements, and coverage recommendations.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and identify coverage gaps.
- Collaborate with clients, underwriters, and internal team members to deliver timely and effective insurance solutions.
- Support business development initiatives through referrals, networking, and community involvement.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and company requirements.
- Deliver an exceptional client experience through proactive service and ongoing relationship management.
Qualifications
Required
- Alberta General Insurance Level 2 License.
- Previous personal lines insurance experience.
- Commercial insurance experience.
- Strong understanding of insurance principles, coverage analysis, and risk management.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- CIP designation or progress toward obtaining a CIP designation.
- Experience working with business owners and commercial clients.
- Knowledge of small business, farm, and commercial insurance products.
