We are a small ICI contractor with 20 years of experience based in Mississauga, primarily operating in the Downtown Toronto area. Our standard projects are Interior Alterations of commercial offices for commercial Property Managers.
We are searching for a new Junior Site Supervisor, tasked with assisting the Site Supervisor on construction projects. This role is ideal for an individual looking to develop their career in construction site management while working alongside experienced site leaders.
The Junior Site Supervisor will assist in coordinating daily site activities, monitoring project progress, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. The successful candidate will spend most of their time on-site, supporting project execution and helping ensure that drawings, specifications, schedules, and safety requirements are followed.
Responsibilities & Expectations:
- Assist with the day-to-day supervision of construction projects from start to completion.
- Monitor site activities to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with project drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate and communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and trades on site.
- Track project progress and report updates to Senior Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
- Help maintain project schedules and identify potential delays.
- Assist with material takeoffs and coordinate material deliveries.
- Ensure site cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company standards.
- Support the implementation and enforcement of health and safety policies and Ministry of Labour regulations.
- Participate in site meetings and maintain accurate project documentation.
- Assist with deficiency tracking and completion of outstanding work.
- Build positive working relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and project partners.
- Support contract administration and change management processes as required.
- Perform other site duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2–5 years of construction experience, preferably in ICI projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and sequencing.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining safe work practices and job site standards.
- Valid G Driver's License with a clean driving record.
