Through our social services hub, Fruitful Communities, we support the Community through relevant programs serving Seniors, Youth, Newcomers and those experiencingFood Insecurity. This year we have 4 Summer Jobs positions available:
Volunteer Experience Coordinator - Support the development and implementation of Fruitful Communities’ Volunteer Experience Model. You will assist with volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, engagement, and recognition. You will design digital welcome kits, newsletters, volunteer-facing resources, and engagement touchpoints. You will coordinate volunteers during programs and events, help track volunteer hours, analyze volunteer feedback, and contribute to creating a positive, inclusive environment.
Community Outreach & Program Engagement Coordinator - Support Fruitful Communities in strengthening community connections, increasing public awareness of services, and engaging residents of the Mississauga and surrounding communities.
You will help plan, deliver, and evaluate outreach activities, including Micro-Engagement Pop-Ups, community surveys, program promotions, and event support. You will work directly with culturally diverse families, youth, newcomers, and seniors to gather feedback, increase participation, and help identify community needs.
Digital Media & Community Communications Assistant - Support Fruitful Communities’ outreach and engagement efforts by creating inclusive, accessible, and culturally responsive digital content. You will develop social media posts, community newsletters, short videos, event recap materials, digital posters, and information updates for community programs. You will help increase awareness of local supports among culturally diverse families, newcomers, seniors, and youth.
Youth Wellness & Program Support Leader - Support the delivery of accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive youth and family programs. The youth will help plan, facilitate, and evaluate wellness activities, micro-workshops, social-emotional development activities, and community events aimed at strengthening youth confidence, leadership, and mental well-being.This role includes hands-on program facilitation, activity development, participant engagement, digital resource creation, and the design of a Youth Wellness Micro-Toolkit.
