Barista – The Blackstone (Stittsville, ON)
Full-Time & Part-Time Positions Available
The Blackstone is building a strong, reliable team for our new community hub in Stittsville. We’re looking for Barista/Cashiers who can prepare a wide range of drinks — from specialty coffees to bubble tea — while also assisting as convenience store cashiers. This is a great role for someone who enjoys fast-paced service, customer interaction, and learning multiple stations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages: espresso drinks, drip coffee, teas, bubble tea, smoothies, and seasonal specials
- Operate POS system for both the café and convenience-store sections
- Handle cash, card, and mobile payments accurately
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
- Restock ingredients, toppings, cups, lids, and café supplies
- Assist with convenience-store duties: stocking shelves, merchandising, facing products, scanning inventory
- Provide friendly, consistent customer service at all times
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards
- Support opening and closing duties as scheduled
Requirements
- Previous barista, bubble tea, or café experience is an asset (but full training available)
- Comfortable learning new recipes and drink preparation methods
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Able to lift 20–30 lbs for stocking
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
