Service Plumber / Master Plumber (7+ Years Experience – High-Rise Residential & Commercial)

Job Summary
Element Building Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced and hands-on Licensed Plumber / Master Plumber to join our growing mechanical division servicing high-rise residential and commercial buildings across the GTA.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in plumbing service, maintenance, troubleshooting, retrofit, and repair work within occupied high-rise buildings. This role requires someone who can independently diagnose issues, coordinate work on-site, and perform plumbing work safely and professionally in active residential and commercial environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain plumbing systems in high-rise residential and commercial buildings
- Perform domestic water, sanitary, storm, and hydronic piping repairs and modifications
- Carry out valve replacements, riser isolation work, and plumbing shutdown coordination
- Diagnose and repair leaks, clogged drains, stack blockages, and piping failures
- Perform drain cleaning, snaking, camera inspections, and troubleshooting of drainage systems
- Service and repair pumps, boilers, expansion tanks, fan coils, heat pumps, and mechanical room piping systems
- Perform soldering, brazing, threading, grooving, and pipe assembly (copper, steel, PEX, cast iron)
- Install and replace plumbing fixtures, shut-off valves, PRVs, balancing valves, and associated piping
- Respond to emergency plumbing service calls and after-hours troubleshooting when required
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, riser diagrams, specifications, and site layouts
- Coordinate professionally with property managers, supers, site staff, tenants, and project teams
- Ensure all work complies with Ontario Plumbing Code, health & safety regulations, and site procedures
- Maintain accurate service reports, material tracking, and work documentation
- Mentor apprentices and junior plumbers on-site when required
- Support retrofit projects, capital replacement work, and mechanical shutdown activities
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario 306A Plumbing License
- 7+ years of plumbing experience in high-rise residential and/or commercial buildings
- Strong experience with:
- Domestic water systems
- Drainage and sanitary systems
- Hydronic piping systems
- Valve replacements and riser work
- Mechanical room piping
- Pumps, boilers, and plumbing equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Experience with soldering, brazing, threading, grooving, and piping installations
- Ability to independently handle service calls and site issues
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Strong understanding of Ontario construction and safety regulations
Preferred Assets
- Master Plumber License
- Backflow Prevention Tester Certification (Ontario) considered a strong asset
- Experience working in occupied high-rise condominium environments
- Experience with boiler systems, pumps, and hydronic balancing
- Experience coordinating shutdowns and emergency repairs
- Ability to read mechanical blueprints and specifications
- Leadership experience supervising apprentices or small crews
