About Us
WATB Construction Inc. is a concrete formwork and excavation company working on commercial, industrial, institutional, and municipal projects across Ontario.
We are looking for a reliable Excavator Operator / Concrete Formwork Labourer who can operate equipment when needed and also assist our forming crew when there is no excavation work available.
This position is best for someone who understands construction sites and is willing to be flexible. We are growing our excavation division, but at this stage we cannot guarantee machine operation every single day.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavator, skid steer, or other equipment when required.
- Assist with excavation, trenching, backfill, grading, loading, cleanup, and site preparation.
- Help concrete formwork crews when equipment work is slow.
- Assist with footings, walls, formwork setup, stripping, material handling, and general site work.
- Read basic site drawings, grades, and instructions from foreman.
- Work safely around crews, equipment, concrete, and active job sites.
- Keep equipment clean and report maintenance issues.
- Be willing to work as part of the team, not only as an operator.
Requirements
- Excavator operating experience required.
- Construction site experience required.
- Concrete formwork experience is strongly preferred.
- Must be willing to help with forming and general labour when equipment work is not available.
- Ability to work safely and follow instructions.
- Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
- Valid driver’s licence.
PreferredExperience
- Excavator, skid steer, dozer, or loader experience.
- Concrete forming experience.
- Footings, foundation walls, backfill, grading, and site prep.
- Commercial, industrial, institutional, or municipal construction experience.
- Ability to read basic drawings and elevations.
Important Note
This is not a machine-only position. The successful candidate must be willing to assist with concrete formwork and general site work when there is no equipment operation required.

Pay: $24.16-$40.83 per hour
