Allen’s Home Building Centre, located in Middleton, Nova Scotia is looking for a full-time Pro team representative. Allen’s is a small team of close-knit employees who are excited to come to work and create a welcoming one-stop shop for homeowners and contractors in the surrounding areas. The Pro team role involves a combination of maintaining customer relationships and assisting with the day-to-day upkeep of the retail store.
The ideal candidate has a great attitude and is motivated to work hard and build relationships. In this position, you will be part of an experienced sales team, primarily responsible for serving our valuable contractors and DIY customers. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in construction, or a knowledge of plumbing, electrical and/or estimating would be an asset. Must be able to lift 50lbs and be comfortable multitasking during busy seasons.
We offer a competitive wage starting at $20/hour based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a positive customer service attitude when dealing with customers, contractors, vendors, and co-workers.
- Promptly produce quotes and material lists as well as follow up on customer orders.
- Build and foster long-term relationships with new and existing customers.
- Participate in various training modules and courses as needed.
- Source and order special-order products for customers.
- Assist with store stocking and loading customer vehicles as required.

Hours
- Full-time permanent
- Monday to Friday 7:30am – 5:00pm
- Saturday availability 7:30am – 4:00pm
