Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and unexperienced/experienced Brush Cutter/Forestry Worker to join our team. This position involves maintaining and managing forested areas, utilizing various tools and equipment to ensure environmental health and safety. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to conservation and forestry management projects.
Responsibilities
- Operate brush cutters, and other power tools safely and efficiently to clear overgrown vegetation and maintain forested areas
- Use hand tools such as for vegetation management and site preparation
- Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment and power tools to ensure optimal performance
- Assist with landscape maintenance tasks including trimming, pruning, and planting
- Conduct GIS mapping and data collection for land management projects
- Follow safety protocols and environmental regulations during all operations
- Support activities related to forestry projects as needed
Qualifications
- able to speak English or French
- have your own brushcutting machine
Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour
