Our MPE Edmonton Office is hiring a Municipal Engineer to join the team. This role is ideal for a professional engineer who is eager to work on diverse and impactful projects within a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Replacement and upgrade of underground water, sewer, and stormwater infrastructure

Your Contribution:
Your main responsibilities
Oversee and manage municipal engineering projects from inception through completion
Perform design, construction site inspections, and contract administration duties
Develop and review engineering design drawings, specifications, and contract documents
Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards
Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project success
Coordinate designs and construction inspections with multiple disciplines
Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technologists

Apply and promote health and safety rules and comply with MPE's quality procedures.
Your Profile:
What makes you unique
B.Sc. in Civil Engineering and membership with APEGA
Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal engineering, with a strong preference for candidates with hands-on experience in construction observation and contract administration
Working knowledge of water and wastewater distribution and collection systems
Proficiency in computer software for modelling and spreadsheet analysis
Demonstrated aptitude for general construction methods
Strong business acumen and understanding of municipal infrastructure projects
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team atmosphere
Self-motivated with leadership potential
Excellent verbal and written communication skill
