Line Cook/Dishwasher - Part time
Pomona™ is a restaurant in the heart of the Village of Colborne.
Pomona™ offers classic and contemporary Italian dishes using Italian and local seasonal ingredients.
We are looking for a Line Cook person to join the Pomona™ Team.
You will be responsible for:
· Following all proper food safety procedures during preparation and cooking including maintaining all required labels;
· Maintaining all related work areas and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition in accordance with specific standards and regulations;
· Receiving, storing and maintaining inventory of food and supplies;
· Assisting in the production and presentation of meals, maintaining the highest quality possible while adhering to menu expectations;
· Dish, cutlery, glasses and pot washing
· Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Experience an asset, or if food is your passion, come on over! Willing to train.
Basic knowledge of cooking methods and knife handling (must know how to chop vegetables)
Excellent customer service, strong work ethic, strong organizational skills, able to work in a high stress environment
Comfortable in a small open kitchen environment
This position fluctuates between 2-4 days per week.
Food Handler’s Certificate is an asset
Rate of pay based on experience $20-28/per hour.
