Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing precise welding operations using TIG techniques to fabricate, repair, and assemble metal components. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprint reading, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work with various tools and equipment in a fast-paced environment. The TIG Welder will contribute to the production of high-quality products across construction, ductwork, and manufacturing projects.
Duties
- Perform TIG welding on various metals according to detailed blueprints and schematics
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and press brake machines to shape and prepare materials
- Operate cranes, forklifts, and other lifting equipment safely for rigging and material handling
- Conduct machining operations as needed for component fabrication
- Measure materials accurately using calipers, tape measures, and other precision tools
- Assist in assembly processes by welding ductwork, structural components, or other fabricated parts
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures
- Perform routine inspections of welds for quality assurance using basic math skills and visual checks
Qualifications
- Proven experience in TIG welding with a strong portfolio of completed projects
- Proficiency in MIG welding is a plus; ability to perform plasma cutting and use hand tools effectively
- Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, machining, and assembly processes
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Familiarity with rigging, crane operation, forklift handling, and press brake machines is desirable
- Knowledge of welding codes, safety standards, and industry best practices in manufacturing or construction environments
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Strong attention to detail with excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic setting
