Indoor Maintenance Technician

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Indoor Maintenance Technician to join our team in Gravenhurst. This role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of resort buildings, guest rooms, and public areas. The ideal candidate has hands-on maintenance experience, excellent troubleshooting skills, and takes pride in delivering exceptional service in a hospitality environment.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance throughout the property
- Complete maintenance and repair requests in guest rooms and public areas
- Repair furniture, unclog drains, replace light fixtures, repair or replace bathroom fixtures, paint, and perform caulking as required
- Assist with renovation projects and ensure quality workmanship
- Maintain a clean and organized work area before, during, and after maintenance projects
- Coordinate with third-party contractors, including electricians, plumbers, and other service providers
- Maintain inventory and organization of maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies
- Communicate effectively with Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests
- Follow all workplace health and safety policies and procedures
- Respond to guest requests promptly and professionally
- Promote a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests and staff
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in a hotel, resort, or related industry
- Resort or hospitality maintenance experience is considered an asset
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Experience using hand and power tools safely
- Valid Ontario driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple tasks
- Available to work afternoons, weekends, and holidays as required
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors, outdoors, and at heights in various weather conditions
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
