Property Maintenance Labourer
Role Summary
Are you the type of person who can fix just about anything? Do you take pride in a perfectly painted wall, a smooth-swinging door, or fixing a faucet leak? We’re looking for a hands-on, jack-of-all-trades Property Maintenance Labourer to help keep The Gables of PEI and our three golf courses (Andersons' Creek, Green Gables, and Forest Hills) looking exceptional. From painting and repairs to general upkeep and improvements, you’ll play a key role in making sure our properties always look their best for guests and members. If you love variety, problem-solving, and seeing the results of your hard work every day, this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
- Tackle general repairs and maintenance projects across all properties
- Prep, paint, and finish surfaces with care and attention to detail
- Fix, adjust, improve (if it needs attention, you’re on it)
- Help keep buildings, common areas, and outdoor spaces safe and looking great
- Perform preventative maintenance to stay ahead of issues
- Keep tools, equipment, and workspaces organized and clean
- Identify maintenance concerns and proactively recommend solutions
- Follow all safety standards in accordance with PEI Occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Jump in where needed — no two days are the same!
What You Bring
- Experience in general property maintenance
- Strong painting skills and an eye for detail
- Confidence using tools and completing repairs independently
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and travel between properties
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50lbs and being on your feet
- Flexible availability (some early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- A positive attitude and pride in a job well done
