As the Cannabis Team Lead, you will be at the forefront of creating an exceptional customer experience and ensuring operational excellence. This role is ideal for an ambitious leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about the evolving cannabis industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Operational Excellence:
Adaptability: Swiftly adapting to changes in in-house policy, regulations, and legalities with minimal notice period.
Local Compliance: Adept in discovering and mastering information related to facility-specific city and municipality bylaws.
Implementation and Oversight: Implementing and upholding all operational, industry, and regulatory rules, policies, and procedures. Overseeing opening and closing procedures, maintaining POS systems, and conducting regular audits.
2. Staff Management:
- Lead the training, and development of a high-performing team.

- Ensure the safety and satisfaction of both staff and customers.
- Provide guidance to customers in their cannabis purchasing journey.
5. Sales and Financial Management:
- Drive sales goals through strategic initiatives.
6. Visual Merchandising:
- Maintain store displays, visuals, products, signage, and aesthetics.
- Stay informed about industry changes and evolving product knowledge.
7. Inventory and Logistics:
- Manage in-depth knowledge of in-store inventory.
- Oversee shipping/receiving & transfers, processes and stocking.
8. Continuous Learning:
- Stay informed about industry changes, trends, and evolving product knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Criminal Record Check
- CannSell Ontario Standard Certificate (expert preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of cannabis retail experience
- 3+ years leadership experience in a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of cannabis regulations and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in POS systems and other retail technologies.
