The Environmental Services Manager is responsible for overseeing the housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance operations of the home. This role ensures compliance with all health and safety regulations, supports infection prevention and control practices, and leads a team committed to excellence in environmental services.

The Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the environmental services team, including housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance staff.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable health, safety, and infection control standards.
- Develop and implement cleaning and maintenance schedules to ensure a safe and sanitary environment.
- Manage departmental budgets and inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Coordinate with other departments to support resident care and facility operations.
- Train and mentor staff, conduct performance evaluations, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.
- Respond to and resolve environmental service-related concerns from residents, families, and staff.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
- Strong knowledge of infection prevention and control practices.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage budgets and maintain compliance with regulatory standards.
