The Role
We are looking for a dependable and organized Parts Assistant to help keep our collision-repair operation running smoothly.
This is a hands-on position. You will receive parts, verify deliveries, organize components for upcoming repairs and help make sure technicians have the correct parts when they need them.
You do not need to be an experienced parts manager. We can train the right person on our systems and processes. What matters most is that you are reliable, pay attention to details and take pride in keeping things organized.
A missing, damaged or incorrectly placed part can delay an entire repair. This position is important because your organization directly affects the productivity of the technicians and the experience of the customer.
About 24HR Collision
24HR Collision is a locally owned collision-repair company with established locations in Vancouver and Surrey.
We operate busy, professional repair facilities and work with ICBC, dealerships, private customers and vehicle manufacturers. Our focus is high-quality repairs, strong customer service and continually improving the way our shops operate.
We are not looking for someone who needs to be reminded repeatedly to complete basic responsibilities. We are looking for someone who takes ownership, asks questions when something is unclear and follows through until the task is complete.
Our culture is straightforward:
- Show up ready to contribute.
- Keep your area and responsibilities organized.
- Communicate problems early.
- Treat coworkers, customers and suppliers respectfully.
- Take responsibility rather than blaming someone else.
- Help the team keep vehicles moving through the repair process.
Employees who demonstrate reliability, initiative and strong organizational ability can grow into greater responsibility.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Receiving automotive parts and checking deliveries
- Comparing received parts against invoices, purchase orders and repair files
- Confirming that parts are for the correct vehicle
- Identifying visibly damaged, missing or incorrect parts
- Labeling and organizing parts by vehicle and repair order
- Staging parts on carts or in designated storage areas
- Delivering parts to technicians when required
- Keeping the parts room, storage areas and parts carts organized
- Assisting with returns, cores and unused parts
- Preparing parts for pickup by suppliers
- Tracking basic information relating to received and returned parts
- Informing the estimator or manager when something is missing, damaged or incorrect
- Helping locate parts and documents when requested
- Keeping invoices, packing slips and related paperwork organized
- Assisting with inventory checks and shop organization
- Supporting the parts coordinator, estimators and production team
- Following established checklists and procedures
This role does not initially require you to independently manage all supplier relationships or make complex parts decisions. Your primary responsibility is to accurately receive, organize, stage and help control the physical movement of parts through the shop.
The Person We Are Looking For
You may be a strong fit if you:
- Are naturally organized
- Notice when numbers, labels or items do not match
- Can follow a repeatable process without skipping steps
- Are comfortable working on your feet and moving throughout the shop
- Complete tasks without needing constant reminders
- Communicate clearly when you discover a problem
- Take care when handling expensive vehicle components
- Keep your workspace clean and orderly
- Can manage several vehicles and parts orders without mixing them up
- Are comfortable using basic computer software
- Work respectfully with technicians, office staff, managers and suppliers
- Are willing to learn and improve
This position is not suited to someone who regularly loses paperwork, leaves tasks unfinished or assumes somebody else will correct mistakes later.

A strong candidate from a warehouse, dealership, shipping-and-receiving or inventory background may also be a good fit.
Physical Requirements
The position involves:
- Regular standing and walking
- Moving parts throughout the facility
- Lifting and carrying automotive components
- Bending, reaching and using parts carts
- Working in both office and active shop environments
Candidates must be able to safely lift approximately 50 pounds when required. Assistance and appropriate equipment should be used for oversized or unusually heavy components.
A valid driver’s licence is preferred.
