We are currently looking for a permanent, full-time Purchasing Administrator to join our team at our Saskatoon location.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Purchasing Administrator supports quality manufacturing operations by preparing purchase orders to assigned supplier accounts and consistently purchases quality materials for best value in correct quantities that are delivered to the right location at the right time.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
· Preparing and sending purchase orders in accordance with vendor lead times.
· Establishing and effectively communicating timely delivery dates.
· Understanding the processes required to order for Kanban and bin systems, part sales, and warranty.
· Evaluating critical parts and rush demands, eliminating shortages, and minimizing excess parts.
· Developing and maintaining relationships with vendors on a transactional level.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
· Strong communication skills both internally and externally to ensure schedule changes, ECO’s and late parts are effectively managed to ensure on-time trailer delivery to customers.
· The ability to meet timelines and manage problems.
· Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate purchase order entry, proofing, maintenance and submission, optimization of inventory levels, and effective integrity checks.
· Ability to discover and present new ideas and opportunities that will refine the ordering process.
· Bachelor’s degree in business or commerce or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Supply Chain Management Professional designation is an asset.
· Computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) is required.
