Position Overview:
Muskoka Aircraft Refinishing is seeking an Aircraft Painter who is self-motivated, able to work independently, can work to high quality standards, pay close attention to detail and work in a team-oriented environment. In-house training can be provided to successful candidates depending on experience. Willing to train auto body painters
Hours of work:
Monday involve weekend work
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Tend and operate equipment to spray using electrostatic paint guns
· Select appropriate paint or mix paints
· Metal preparation for primer and base coat
· Prepare and apply stencils, decals, silk screens, or other decorative items on finished surfaces
· Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications
· Paint small items and apply touch-ups using paint brushes
· Clean and maintain paint application equipment
· Check coating thickness using various measuring devices
· Identify potential quality issues and recommend solutions
· Clean and sand composite parts
· General aircraft preparation and cleaning as required
· Keep work area clean and free of debris
Knowledge, Experience, and Physical Demands
· Minimum 2 years working in an aircraft, marine, automotive painting environment
· Good written and verbal skills
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Material Handling, and Working at Heights certification an asset
· Previous work in an aircraft, automotive, marine, or industrial painting facility an asset
· Ability to work with Company provided PPE (Respirators, gloves, ear plugs, harnesses, etc)
· Ability to use provided equipment, tools and materials related to the Aircraft Painting Process in a safe and efficient manner while respecting consumption standards
· Ability to adapt to the physical demands of tasks required to perform the job such as bending, standing, walking, reaching, sanding, climbing ladders
· Must be able to work at heights when required
· Able to work in a dusty and noisy environment
· Provide reliable transportation to facility

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
