Overview
We are seeking a professional and dedicated Truck Driver to operate commercial vehicles across the US and Canada. This role involves transporting freight safely and efficiently while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and possess a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate trucks and freight vehicles across designated routes in the US and Canada, ensuring timely deliveries.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Load, secure, and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules or issues.
- Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting as needed to ensure vehicle operational readiness.
- Operate heavy equipment safely when required for loading or unloading cargo.
- Follow all federal, state, and provincial transportation laws and safety standards.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for heavy trucks.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, freight transportation, or related fields.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely.
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to freight handling and vehicle operation.
- Excellent navigation skills for cross-border routes between the US and Canada.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
- Flexibility to work long hours on 12-hour shifts or extended routes as needed. This role is vital for ensuring the smooth flow of freight across borders while maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency.
Pay: $33.60 per hour
