Duties
- Greet customers warmly and engage with them to understand their needs and preferences
- Provide detailed product demonstrations and educate customers on various cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Assist customers with selecting products based on their desired effects and experience levels
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked with fresh products
- Conduct regular stock checks, assist with inventory management, and support product restocking efforts
- Promote responsible consumption by informing customers about dosage guidelines and legal regulations
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy, adhering to proper phone etiquette
- Assist in conducting product demos and sampling events to educate customers about new offerings
- Support store cleanliness, safety protocols, and compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales
Qualifications
- Previous retail sales experience, preferably in a grocery store or similar environment involving POS systems
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills in team settings
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain product features clearly and confidently
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Knowledge of POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic retail math is essential
- Experience with merchandising, stocking, and inventory management techniques
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to create positive interactions
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods and lifting moderate loads
- Familiarity with cannabis products or willingness to learn through training programs
