SPARK Pediatric Services is a private practice in the Durham Region serving children/youth and their families.
SPARK is looking to add another Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) to our team! Based on the candidate's preference, they would work as either an employee (full or part time options available) or an independent contractor – in this way, the role can be a great fit for either someone looking for a primary role or supplementary income. The candidate would work under the supervision of a qualified SPARK Occupational Therapist. The OTA would work directly with clients, therapists and other SPARK staff, and parents to meet the needs of children in the program.

Location: The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering therapy services at our Oshawa clinic (194 King Street W) and our Whitby clinic (413 Dundas Street E - Unit 4).
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Providing occupational therapy services, including 1:1 treatment and consultation
- Accessing the supervision and guidance of the qualified supervising OT on a regular basis and as required
- Completing administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, collecting payment, utilizing SPARK’s electronic charting system, and communicating with SPARK’s intake coordinator, as required
- Adhering to SPARK’s policies and procedures
Qualifications and Skills:
- Eligible for associate membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (CAOT), preferred
- Diploma in Occupational Therapy Assistant / Physiotherapy Assistant
- Experience working with the pediatric population, including children and youth on the autism spectrum and with other developmental needs
- Access to reliable transportation
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Takes initiative and works well independently
- Microsoft Office proficient and comfortable learning new computer software

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
