Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and upselling menu items to enhance the dining experience. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a passion for hospitality. The Server will be responsible for managing multiple tables efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation quality
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling duties
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including table settings and workstations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities and enhance guest satisfaction
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Address guest inquiries or concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems, for order entry and cashiering
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and hospitality excellence
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in food service or restaurant environments preferred; kitchen experience is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Ability to upsell menu items effectively to increase sales opportunities
- Good communication skills for working with team members and interacting with guests
- Familiarity with food industry standards, serving etiquette, and guest services
