Duties
- Safely operate fuel delivery trucks, including tractor-trailers, tanker trucks, and refrigerated trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Load and unload fuel supplies using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling and securement of freight
- Manage route driving schedules efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries across designated locations
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, shipment documentation, and route records for compliance and tracking purposes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery status, route adjustments, or safety concerns
- Follow all safety protocols related to handling hazardous materials and operating specialized trucking equipment
Requirements
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight transport
- Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles and specialized trucks such as flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers
- Experience with route driving, load securing, and managing delivery schedules
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to transporting fuel and hazardous materials
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly
Preferred qualifications include experience with dump trucks or roll-off trucks, familiarity with freight handling procedures, and certifications in forklift operation. This role is ideal for motivated drivers eager to advance their careers in logistics while ensuring safe and timely deliveries.
