We are looking for a Director of Social Media who can take full ownership of our content strategy, scale our social presence, and drive measurable growth in views, traffic, and revenue.
This is not a traditional social media role. You will be responsible for building and scaling a high-performing content engine.
What You’ll Do
- Own and lead the end-to-end social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts
- Develop and execute content strategies that consistently increase views, engagement, and traffic
- Ideate and produce high-performing, viral-first content concepts aligned with brand positioning
- Lead content direction including storyboarding, shoot planning, and creative execution
- Analyze performance metrics (retention, watch time, engagement) and translate insights into actionable improvements
- Build and scale repeatable content formats and series
- Manage and direct content creators, ensuring clear briefs and high output quality
- Collaborate with influencers, UGC creators, and brand partners to expand reach and content volume
- Align content with product drops, campaigns, and key business objectives
- Continuously test, iterate, and scale content through a structured experimentation approach
Must-Have Requirements
- Proven track record of scaling social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts)
- Demonstrated success creating or leading viral content (100K–1M+ views) that you personally ideated
- Strong understanding of social media analytics and ability to translate data into content improvements
- Deep knowledge of platform-specific trends and how to adapt them to brand storytelling
- Ability to develop clear content direction and creative strategy, not just execute
- Experience leading creators and managing content production workflows
- Strong experimentation mindset with a focus on performance and iteration
- Clear understanding of how content drives traffic and revenue, not just engagement
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in DTC apparel (streetwear preferred)
- Hands-on experience with creative direction and content production
- Strong passion for anime and fashion
- 6+ years of experience in social media, content strategy, or related roles
- Experience leading and managing teams or creators
