Duties
- Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, and loaders with precision and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment.
- Transport materials and freight across job sites or warehouses efficiently and safely.
- Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project deadlines are met.
- Perform minor repairs or troubleshooting related to automotive or heavy equipment issues when necessary.
- Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Skills
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, cranes, or loaders.
- Valid certification or licensing for forklift operation is preferred.
- Experience with freight handling and commercial driving is a plus.
- Knowledge of automotive repair techniques is advantageous for troubleshooting equipment issues.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy machinery operation.
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Physical stamina and coordination necessary for operating machinery safely over extended periods.
