Foothills Group is looking for an experienced Heavy Duty Field Technician to join our growing team.
This isn't a position where someone stands over your shoulder all day. You'll be trusted to represent the company, manage your service truck, diagnose equipment in the field, and deliver solutions that keep our customers running.
You'll work on a wide variety of heavy equipment, commercial trucks, and fleet vehicles throughout Southern Alberta and Southeastern BC. Every day is different. Every call presents a new challenge. And every successful repair directly impacts our customers' operations.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Field Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Diagnosing and repairing heavy equipment and commercial vehicles on-site
- Troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, air, and diesel systems
- Performing preventative maintenance and inspections
- Completing CVIP inspections and repairs where applicable
- Communicating directly with customers and service advisors
- Accurately documenting diagnostics, repairs, and parts usage
- Managing and maintaining your service truck and inventory
- Responding professionally and efficiently to service calls
- Representing Foothills Group with professionalism and pride
What We're Looking For

- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Heavy Equipment Technician or Truck & Transport certification
- Strong experience with diesel, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
- Valid driver's license
- CVIP license considered an asset
- Previous field service experience considered an asset
