Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Cafe Associate who will be responsible for accurately processing customer transactions, handling payments, and providing excellent service. They play a key role in ensuring a positive shopping experience and maintaining customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and answering questions about menu items

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and other menu items according to recipes and customer preferences

Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the café, including the serving area, dining tables, and equipment

Maintain stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients to ensure smooth operations

Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently

Handle cash and card transactions accurately, following cash handling procedures and reconciling sales at the end of each shift

Uphold food safety and hygiene standards by following proper food handling procedures and cleaning protocols

Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive work environment and contribute to a cohesive team dynamic

Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up the café for the day, restocking supplies, and cleaning up at the end of the day

Address customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction
Requirements:

Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment

Familiarity with cash handling procedures is preferred
- Familiarity with operating a cash register or point-of-sale system is preferred

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner

Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in processing transactions.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously

Knowledge of products and services offered by the store may be beneficial but not always required

Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
