Overview
We are a growing specialized transportation company operating a fleet of dump trailers hauling scrap metal across Canada and the United States. We are looking for a motivated and dependable Dispatch Coordinator to join our operations team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient dispatching, maintaining communication across multiple channels, and optimizing freight processes. This role requires strong organizational skills, proficiency with various management systems, and excellent communication abilities.
Operations Across: Ontario, Quebec, New York State & Michigan
Full-Time | Flexible Hours Required
Probation Period - 3 MONTH (Benefits start after 3 months)
Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of highways and routes across Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, and New York State
- Understanding of cross-border transportation and customs clearance procedures
- Ability to manage schedules, communicate with drivers, and handle operational challenges efficiently
- Strong decision-making and organizational skills
- Experience in transportation or logistics is an asset
- Develop and implement dispatch schedules, monitor freight statuses, and adjust plans as needed for maximum efficiency.
- Maintain phone systems with professional phone etiquette to communicate effectively with drivers, clients, and internal teams.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all dispatch activities.
- Flexible with hours of operation and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Provide excellent customer service through clear communication, timely updates, and professional interaction.
