Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with paving projects and supporting heavy equipment operation to ensure the successful completion of asphalt installation and maintenance. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, reliable, and eager to contribute to quality construction work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and cleanup of paving sites, including loading and unloading materials.
- Support heavy equipment operators in tasks such as spreading asphalt and related materials.
- Help with site setup, including setting up safety barriers and signage.
- Perform manual labor such as shoveling, raking, and lifting materials as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient project progress.
Qualifications
- Prior experience with heavy equipment operation, paving, or construction is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of construction safety standards is a plus but not mandatory.
