Entry-Level Shop Assistant – Custom Cabinetry & Millwork
We are a high-end custom cabinetry and architectural millwork manufacturer located in East Vancouver, specializing in premium residential projects. We are currently seeking a motivated, reliable, and physically fit individual to join our team full-time.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in the custom woodworking and manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will primarily assist our spray finishing department while supporting various shop operations as required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Material preparation and sanding for finishing
- Assisting the spray finisher with production-related tasks
- Wrapping, packaging, and protecting finished components for delivery and installation
- Shipping and receiving materials
- General shop assistance for cabinetmakers and production staff
- Occasional material pickups and deliveries using company vehicles
Qualifications:
- Valid BC Driver's License with a clean driving record
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Physically fit and capable of handling materials safely throughout the workday
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Dependable, cooperative, and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Previous woodworking or manufacturing experience is an asset
- Experience with forklift operation is an asset
