Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Tutor to provide personalized instruction to students in various subjects. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills in Psychology course material. This role involves fostering a positive learning environment, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs, and helping students achieve their academic goals. The Tutor will play a vital role in supporting student development through engaging and effective tutoring sessions.
Duties
- Deliver one-on-one in person or online tutoring sessions in diverse subjects, including language instruction and academic support
- Develop tailored lesson plans that align with students’ learning styles and curriculum requirements
- Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment that promotes student confidence and motivation.
- Work with children to improve their understanding of subject material while maintaining patience and enthusiasm
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress, and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with parents or guardians to discuss student performance and recommend additional resources or support
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in an educational or tutoring setting is preferred
- Strong writing skills for assisting with assignments and language development
- Classroom experience or teaching background is a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning needs
- Passion for education and helping students succeed
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans and foster a supportive learning environment
Pay: $16.50-$22.00 per hour
