Position Title: Shipping & Receiving / Delivery Driver & Sales Counter Support
Location: Heritage Trim & Doors, North Bay, Ontario
Reports To: Store Manager
Summary of Position:
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods in and out of our trim and door supply store. This is a hybrid role that combines shipping and receiving duties, deliveries to customers, and occasionally assisting at the sales counter. This position requires a hands-on approach, including physical labour such as loading and unloading products.
Key Responsibilities:
Shipping and Receiving:
- Receive incoming deliveries and ensure accuracy by checking packing slips and purchase orders.
- Inspect and store products in the appropriate areas.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking and packing orders.
- Maintain an organized and tidy warehouse and shipping/receiving area.
Deliveries:
- Load and unload products in the delivery van.
- Safely deliver trim, doors, and related materials to customer job sites or residential addresses.
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
- Complete delivery paperwork and obtain required signatures.
Sales Counter Support:
- Assist customers with orders, inquiries, and product selection when needed.
- Process transactions through the point-of-sale system.
- Support colleagues on the sales floor during busy periods.
General Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment by following company safety policies and best practices.
- Assist with general warehouse maintenance and cleanliness.
- Contribute to a positive team environment and uphold the company’s commitment to excellent customer service.
Qualifications:
- Valid G driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Forklift operators certificate
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or retail environment is an asset.
- Basic computer and point-of-sale skills are an asset.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various tasks as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour
