Franks Railway Services, a subcontractor for the railroad, is seeking Heavy Equipment & Fleet Interior Cleaner
About the Role:
We are seeking 3 highly motivated and detail-oriented Heavy Equipment & Fleet Interior Cleaners to join our rail maintenance and support team. You will be responsible for the deep cleaning, sanitize, and detailing of the cabs and operating compartments of CN mobile cranes, shunt trucks, and pickup trucks.
The temporary position may transition to full time permanent employment.
Position Type: Temporary Full-Time
Length of Contract: 3-5 months (spring/summer)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Remove all garbage, trash, and debris from the pickup truck, shunt truck, and crane cabs.
- Scrape stuck-on debris and sweep floors within the fleet vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Thoroughly clean seat belts and wipe down seats to maintain operator hygiene.
- Perform interior cleaning, wiping down of dashboards, and sanitizing of all internal surfaces.
- Remove dust, grease, and dirt from hard-to-reach areas in operating compartments.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and control panels to ensure maximum visibility and safety.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and safely handle industrial cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, fleet detailing, or heavy labour is an asset.
- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to safety protocols.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid Class (G) Driver’s License and a clean abstract (access to reliable transportation to the Brampton rail yard).
- Clean criminal background check
- Ability to bend, kneel, and work in tight or elevated spaces within machinery.

FRS Rail takes safety very seriously and we provide the following PPE: hardhat, safety glasses and gloves. Employees are responsible for safety boots and they must be above the ankle with eight holes in total.
