Referee
The UA Flag ref position is one that we support from the organization side.
Duties:
- Enforce the rules and regulations of the game to ensure fair play (we provide rule sheet)
- Make decisions on fouls, penalties, and other infractions during the game (we train you)
- Maintain control and order on the field
- Communicate with players, coaches, and other officials during the game
- Keep accurate records of game events
- Ensure the safety of all participants by monitoring for dangerous play or unsportsmanlike conduct
Skills:
- Some knowledge of the rules and regulations of the specific sport
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to think quickly on your feet
- Effective communication skills to interact with players, coaches, and other officials
- Ability to remain calm and composed
- Good physical fitness to keep up with the pace of the game
- Fair and unbiased judgment to maintain integrity in officiating
