We are seeking a knowledgeable and dedicated Welding Instructor to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding techniques and a passion for teaching others. This role involves delivering hands-on instruction, developing curriculum, and fostering a safe learning environment for students pursuing welding certifications or skills. The Welding Instructor will play a vital role in preparing students for successful careers in welding and fabrication industries.
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive classroom instruction on welding techniques, safety procedures, and industry standards
- Supervise and guide students during practical, hands-on welding exercises in the lab or workshop setting
- Develop and update lesson plans, training materials, and assessments aligned with industry requirements
- Ensure all safety protocols are followed to maintain a safe learning environment
- Evaluate student progress through assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support individual learning needs
- Maintain equipment and materials necessary for effective instruction
- Foster an engaging and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and growth
Experience
- Proven experience in welding, fabrication, or related technical fields
- Prior classroom experience or teaching background is highly desirable
- Strong knowledge of welding safety standards, equipment operation, and industry best practices
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly
- Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their educational goals
- Certification or credentials in welding (such as AWS certification) are preferred but not required
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour
