Full-time role ($20–$30/hr) with hands-on work in diagnostics, repair, and electric vehicle systems.
We are looking for a mechanic (2+ year experience) to join our team working on electric bikes, scooters, and light electric vehicles (NIU and similar).
This role is for someone who takes pride in high-quality work, accurate diagnostics, and efficiency—not just basic repairs.
You’ll have the autonomy to own your work and play a key role in keeping our vehicles reliable, safe, and ready for use.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues (motors, controllers, wiring, drivetrains)
- Perform troubleshooting, not just part replacements
- Handle repairs independently from start to finish
- Execute scheduled maintenance and urgent repairs
- Perform and manage warranty repairs following manufacturer guidelines
- Complete accurate repair documentation and service records
- Maintain high standards for safety, quality, and turnaround time
- Work in a well-equipped workshop environment
- Manage parts and maintain an organized workflow
- Communicate with customers when needed (clear and professional)
- Provide feedback to improve vehicle reliability and design
Requirements:
- 2-3 years mechanical experience (bike, e-bike, automotive, scooter, or similar)
- Strong diagnostic ability and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with electrical systems and troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- High standards for quality, efficiency, and organization
- Reliable and punctual
Assets:
- Experience with electric scooters / NIU or similar EV systems
- Familiarity with battery systems, controllers, and diagnostics
- Experience with wiring repair, connectors, and soldering
Compensation & Benefits:
- $20–$30/hour ($39,000 – $58,500 per year based on 37.5 hours/week)
- Fixed 37.5 hours/week (no overtime culture)
- Weekly performance bonus ($0–$200) based on productivity, quality of work, organization, and punctuality
