Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Logistics Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain operations. This role involves managing warehouse distribution, coordinating with third-party logistics providers, and ensuring efficient inventory management. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a comprehensive understanding of supply chain processes. Fluency in English and French is preferred to facilitate communication across diverse teams. The Logistics Manager will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of customer service within our manufacturing and e-commerce environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise logistics teams, including warehouse staff and supply chain personnel, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee warehouse distribution activities, including order picking, packaging, and shipping processes
- Manage inventory levels using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance
- Utilize data analysis skills to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for continuous improvement
- Supervise the use of forklifts and other heavy lifting equipment while adhering to safety protocols
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including proper handling of heavy loads and forklift operation
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, vendors, and customers to ensure timely deliveries and high service levels
- Utilize computer skills across platforms such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Windows, ERP systems, and specialized warehouse management systems
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities with supervising experience in logistics or manufacturing environments
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
- Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly desirable for effective communication across diverse teams
