Advanced Care Group of Companies (ACG) is an RN-led, women-owned Canadian healthcare staffing organization with a roster of over 10,000 credentialed healthcare professionals nationally. We are growing rapidly in the Victoria and Island area, and are looking for experienced, compassionate Community Support Workers and Homemakers to join our team.
Compensation
$24.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Immediate part time (20+ hours / week) available!
About the Role
As our community care division continues to grow, dedicated team members hours are increased as new clients are start with us.
We service Community Care, ICBC and CLBC clients across the Victoria region.
What You'll Do
- Provide personal care, companionship, and homemaking support to clients in their homes and community settings.
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, grooming, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Support client independence and well-being in alignment with individual care plans
- Transport clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with the broader care team
- Respond to scheduling needs with flexibility and professionalism
Requirements
- Must live in Victoria
- Health Care Assistant program or equivalent preferred but will accept relevant job experience.
- Valid Standard First Aid & CPR certification (must be current)
- Criminal Record Check (CRC) — must have on file or willing to complete upon hire
- Valid BC driver's licence and reliable personal vehicle — driving is mandatory for this role
- Demonstrated experience in community support, home care, or a related healthcare field
- Two Exemplary professional references required
Assets
- HCA certificate or equivalent healthcare training preferred
- Experience supporting ICBC or CLBC funded clients preferred
- Wide Availability for maximum hours including evenings, weekends
