Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests. This role involves greeting and seating customers, managing reservations, and ensuring smooth flow of the dining experience. Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred but not required. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage their seating arrangements efficiently
- Answer phone calls with professional phone etiquette and assist with reservation bookings
- Manage waitlists and communicate estimated wait times to guests
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station area
- Use POS systems such as Micros POS to process reservations or takeout orders when necessary
- Handle guest inquiries and resolve concerns promptly to enhance overall experience
- Assist in maintaining a welcoming environment that reflects our commitment to hospitality
Skills
- Strong guest services and customer service orientation
- Previous experience in serving, hospitality, or food service environments is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Knowledge of restaurant POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is preferred
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Professional phone etiquette and courteous demeanor at all times
- Experience with hotel or restaurant operations is a plus
- Ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
