We are a full service printing and marketing design company located in Newmarket. Looking for a well-rounded individual with a solid knowledge and understanding of Graphic Design, Digital Printing, and Production/Bindery.
Our ideal candidate will have experience working with digital equipment (Konica Minolta/Xerox), digital print production and setting up files for print. This position requires great attention to detail, multitasking, and organizational skills, as well as being a team player. This is an entry level position.
Your duties will include, but not limited to: digital printing, graphic design, submitting files to vendors, working directly face to face with clients, answering phones, and being part of a cohesive team. Experience with Xerox, Konica Minolta or similar digital printers (aka Digital Presses) using command workstation is a must.
A GRAPHIC DESIGN DIPLOMA IS BENEFICIAL.
PRINT EXPERIENCE IS BENEFICIAL .
PREPRESS / DIGITAL PRINT PRODUCTION TECHNICIAN QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to manipulate and create files for graphic design services using Adobe CC software, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft tools including Word and Excel.
Must know how to set up pre-press files for printing, colour calibrating, imposition, creating bleeds, crops, etc.
This position will also consist of sending jobs to print. Must have knowledge of RIP systems, trapping and colour separations.
PC knowledge.
Ability to work independently, as well as with a team.
Excellent organizational and communication skills a must.
Ability to read and understand job tickets for specific instructions.
Ability to juggle multiple tasks and give great attention to details.
This is NOT a freelance graphic design position, nor a web design position. it is an In Shop, In Person - Monday to Friday position.
Pay: $17.60-$20.00 per hour
