POSITION SUMMARY
As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for growing sales within your assigned territory through a combination of new business development, account management, product demonstrations, and customer support.
You will work directly with business owners, plant managers, operations managers, maintenance personnel, and purchasing teams to identify cleaning challenges and provide solutions that deliver measurable value.
This position offers significant autonomy and is ideal for someone who enjoys managing their own schedule, prospecting for opportunities, and being rewarded for performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
· Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within your territory
· Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and industry events
· Develop and execute territory growth plans
· Build relationships with key decision-makers
Account Management
· Maintain and grow existing customer relationships
· Conduct regular customer visits
· Identify opportunities for additional products and services
· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
Technical Sales
· Assess customer cleaning processes and challenges
· Recommend appropriate chemical solutions
· Conduct product demonstrations and trials
· Provide ongoing technical support and training to customers
· Installation and maintenance of chemical related equipment
· Chemical testing on customer site
Territory Management
· Maintain accurate customer records
· Prepare sales reports
· Monitor market trends and competitor activity
· Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs
· Report as required to Sales Manager
· Manage customer accounts with assistance of assigned Customer Service Representative
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:
· 5+ years of Outside sales experience
· Valid driver’s license, clean record and ability to travel through out territory
· Strong communication and presentation skills
· Ability to work independently
· Strong organization and time management skills
· Knowledge of Word processing, spreadsheet, email applications for Windows
· Attention to details in completing tasks
Preferred Qualifications:
· Previous experience in chemical, chemical cleaning or car wash industry
