Summary
We are seeking a Behaviour Support Professional to join our team in Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, and Guelph. This vital role involves working closely with clients to develop and implement tailored support strategies that align with our mission of compassionate care and empowerment.
Responsibilities can include: (case by case)
- Collaborate with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess individual needs.
- Develop and implement behaviour support plans tailored to each client.
- Monitor and document client progress through data collection.
- Provide training and consultation to families and caregivers.
- Administer medication as prescribed following safety protocols.
- Support clients in daily activities, promoting independence.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with organizational standards.
- Stay updated on best practices in behaviour support and special education.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children or individuals with behavioural challenges with a minimum of 5 years.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities, mental health, behaviour modification.
- Ability to administer medication safely when needed.
- Strong data collection and documentation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification or training in behaviour support or related fields
