Propane Bulk Plant Operator
Wage: $22.93/hour
Schedule: 44 hours per week, 5 days per week. Saturday work is required.
Position Summary
We are seeking a safety-conscious and dependable Propane Bulk Plant Operator to join our propane operations team. This role is responsible for filling, inspecting, handling, and preparing propane cylinders and equipment for customer delivery while maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
- Fill and inspect propane cylinders and tanks.
- Load, unload, move, and store propane cylinders and equipment.
- Conduct daily bulk plant and equipment inspections.
- Monitor hoses, valves, pumps, and safety systems.
- Maintain inventory and operational records.
- Follow all safety procedures, regulations, and company policies.
- Keep the yard and bulk plant clean, organized, and secure.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Ability to obtain and maintain TDG and propane handling certifications.
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous propane, warehouse, yard, or industrial experience is considered an asset.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and moving of propane cylinders.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
