We're looking for a Supervisor to join our Community Psychiatric Unit!
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Program Supervisor is usually responsible for the development, management, and supervision of one designated department or program. The primary responsibility of all management positions at Wood’s Homes is to provide strong leadership towards implementation of activities related to being exceptional in the delivery of high-quality services and demonstrating commitment to the Health and Safety Management System across the organization and within their respective area.
Key Responsibilities:Functions/Tasks and Key Responsibilities:
- Leads and develops programs within the mission and values of Wood’s Homes and in accordance with agency Policies and Procedures, Collective Agreement, Accreditation Standards, etc.
- Provide weekly supervision, staff training, evaluation, recruitment, and disciplinary action necessary within the guidelines set by Senior Management to all program staff.
- Ensures that approved clinical case management and record keeping procedures are practiced according to Wood’s quality improvement guidelines.
- Assists/advises Managers, Supervisors and Programs with day-to-day operations as needed and shares regular on-call responsibilities for the agency.
- Regularly reviews all treatment interventions and case management used in the provision of treatment.
- Assumes responsibility for the development, review, and adherence of the program budget.
- Establishes and maintains good relationship with Funders and referral sources; seeks out new referral sources.
- Ensures that all communication material and information pertaining to programs are current and of excellent quality.
- Ensures staff under their direction understand the health and safety responsibilities and complete required training.
- Participates in workplace inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe or unhealthy conditions, and that appropriate hazard controls are implemented.

Qualifications:
- Education, Training, Diplomas and Certifications Needed
Degree in Social Sciences or related field at the undergraduate level required (graduate preferred).
- Current proof of professional registration may be required for certain diplomas or degrees.
- Full class 5 driver’s license or class 5 GDL driver’s license with $2 million liability insurance.
- Drivers Abstract with no more than 6 demerits
Work Experience Needed:
- Experience working with young people and families.
- Experience in supervising/managing staff.
