Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally upon arrival, establishing a positive rapport.
- Listen carefully to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues and service requests.
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, ensuring customers understand their vehicle’s needs.
- Prepare detailed work orders for technicians, including necessary parts and labor estimates.
- Upsell additional services or maintenance based on customer needs and vehicle condition to maximize dealership revenue.
- Coordinate with the service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and communicate progress to customers.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
- Maintain organized records of service history, appointments, and customer interactions.
- Assist in promoting dealership services through effective communication and excellent customer service.
Experience
- Previous dealership experience is highly preferred, providing familiarity with automotive sales processes and service operations.
- Mechanic experience or mechanical knowledge is a strong asset, enabling better communication with technicians and understanding of vehicle issues.
- Proven customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
- Experience in automotive repair or maintenance helps in explaining technical information clearly to customers.
- Sales experience, including upselling additional services or products, is advantageous.
- Cash handling experience ensures accurate processing of payments and transactions.
