Job Summary
We are a fast‑growing logistics company specializing in efficient, reliable, and customer‑focused transportation solutions. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a detail‑oriented Accounting Analyst to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in supporting accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and enhancing operational efficiency across the business.
Duties
Financial Reporting & Month-End Close
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation
- Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
- Perform complex reconciliations, including intercompany, inventory, shareholders' loans and other balance sheet accounts
- Maintain and update fixed asset schedules
- Prepare routine financial reports for management review
- Support the preparation of management reporting packages
Operational Accounting & Compliance
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions as needed
- Handle specialized accounting areas such as prepaids, accruals, or inventory
- Conduct variance analysis related to operational and financial results
- Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies, GAAP, and internal controls
- Assist with tax filings, audits, and regulatory reporting
Analysis, Forecasting, and Continuous Improvement
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities with basic financial analysis
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and help implement process improvements
- Strengthen and monitor internal controls to reduce risk and increase accuracy
- Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, warehouses, management) to improve financial visibility
Payroll & Team Support
- Perform payroll processing, payroll reconciliations, and compliance tracking
- Mentor junior staff and provide support or training as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree/advanced diploma in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Professional designation (CPA, in progress or completed) is an asset
- 2–5 years of accounting experience; logistics or supply chain industry experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP/IFRS
- Proficient with Excel and accounting/ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
