Reporting to the Foreman, the Warehouse Clerk is responsible for ensuring the proper organization, storage, and distribution of materials and equipment required for maintenance and construction activities. You play an essential role in supporting operations by maintaining an orderly warehouse environment and preparing materials for various communities.
- Maintain the warehouse and yard in an organized and well-stocked condition
- Prepare and ship materials and equipment required by maintenance staff in various communities based on work orders
- Receive, verify, and store incoming materials and supplies
- Prepare keys as required for maintenance and construction projects
- Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies
- Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing materials
- Keep the supervisor informed of warehouse activities and operational needs
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with safety standards
- Assist with loading and unloading materials
- Perform any other related duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Secondary V diploma or equivalent relevant experience
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in warehouse or manual work
- Valid driver’s license or willingness to obtain one when training is offered
- Strong organizational skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good physical capacity for manual work
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Fluency in at least two of the following languages: Inuktitut, English, French
This position offers a competitive hourly base salary ranging from $27.22 to $31.29, depending on experience. Employees are eligible for an annual travel allowance of $13,719.30, an annual cost-of-living differential (CLD) of $12 178.11, and a food cargo allowance of $4,105.54 per year, in accordance with current policies and eligibility criteria.
The position also includes 25 vacation days, 16 statutory holidays, and 12 sick days per year, with the option to accumulate a bank of 80 hours (10 days). Group insurance and a pension plan with a 7% employer RRSP contribution are also offered.
