Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Montessori teacher / Childhood Educator (ECE)/ ECEA to join our team in a permanent full-time capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment. This role involves educating young children and providing high-quality caregiving that promotes their development and learning.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards.
- Create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment for all children.
- Educate and support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
- Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
- Monitor and assess each child's progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
- Provide care for children with varying needs, including those with disabilities.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom that promotes learning and exploration.
Experience
- Proven experience in early childhood education or related fields is required.
- Familiarity with working with children who have disabilities is highly desirable.
- Strong caregiving skills that demonstrate compassion and patience in working with young children.
- Ability to create engaging classroom activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Experience in managing a classroom effectively while ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
Qualifications:
Valid ECE/ECEA certificate to practice in BC and Montessori training or experience
First Aid for child care
Criminal record check
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$28.50 per hour
